Frequently Asked : Pittsburgh Screen Printing FAQ

How much does screen printing cost in Pittsburgh?

Pricing depends on quantity, garment, ink colors, and print locations. As a rough guide: a one-color print on a 50-piece order of standard cotton tees runs about $8 to $12 per piece, dropping as quantity goes up. Multi-color or specialty inks (water-based, discharge, foil) add to the per-piece cost. Use our quote form for an exact number, and we'll respond within one business day.

What's the minimum order for custom t-shirts?

12 pieces is our minimum for screen printing. Below that, we recommend heat transfer or DTG which has no minimum but a higher per-piece cost. Embroidery has the same 12-piece minimum.

What's the turnaround time on custom apparel orders?

Standard turnaround is 10 to 14 business days from approved artwork. Rush orders (5 to 7 days) are available for an additional fee depending on size and complexity. For tight deadlines, contact us first. We'll tell you straight up whether we can hit it.

Do you do small batches or only bulk?

Both. Screen printing minimum is 12 pieces; we regularly run 12, 24, 50, and 100-piece orders for bands, small businesses, and event merch. Bulk pricing kicks in around 72 pieces. See the catalog for indicative per-piece prices by quantity.

Do you print on customer-supplied garments?

Yes, with caveats. We need to inspect the garments first. Some blanks (acrylic, certain fleece) don't take ink well, and we won't ruin your stuff guessing. If we approve them, customer-supplied printing runs the same per-piece price minus the blank cost.

What artwork file formats do you need?

Vector formats (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg) are ideal because they scale to any size cleanly. High-resolution raster (.png or .psd at 300 DPI at print size) works too. If all you have is a JPEG from your phone, send it anyway. We can usually rebuild it. Setup fees apply if rebuilding is needed.

Where are you located? Do you ship?

Our shop is in East Liberty, Pittsburgh PA at 204 Auburn St. Local pickup is free (by appointment). We ship anywhere in the US via UPS Ground; shipping cost depends on weight and is added to your invoice.
